PonyBabe - Brooklyn

Now that we’re moving into the new year, it’s the perfect time for R&R: responsibility and relaxation. From the looks of it, PonyBabe’s collection of easy-to-wear clothing is both comfortable and conscious.

Founder Rachel Fernbach is the woman behind PonyBabe, an ultra comfy sustainable clothing collection for women. The brand places transparency at their forefront, which is why their first collection was both designed and produced locally in a Brooklyn factory that supports local designers.

But they didn’t stop there, in fact PonyBabe is working to minimize their environmental footprint as much as possible, which includes “using recycled, biodegradable, and environmentally friendly products for everything from fabric and clothing labels, to mailers and shipping stickers.  At every step of the process, we are looking for ways to create less waste, including skipping hang-tags and excessive wrappings, and we encourage our customers to re-purpose packing materials.” We absolutely love brands that don’t just take on one ethical aspect, but take on multiple challenges to make their collections as conscious as possible.

Their comfy yet minimalist garments are perfect for a restful day at home or a calming yoga session. With pleated pants, wraps, tanks and cardigans made with organic cotton and bamboo, these pieces are as cozy as they are sustainable.

We believe in shopping small, supporting individual makers, and contributing with intention to the world we wish to see thrive.

This year, take a hint from PonyBabe and make a resolution that you’ll be proud of: make more conscious purchases, be a friend to the environment, and stay true to yourself. And, of course, always make a statement.
